Listening to my heart and thinking 'free'.
How many times have I done that before?
Once or twice and not more!
Pondering over all those moments,
When I called myself supposedly 'free'.
Strangely though, my thoughts were shackled,
By chains which bear the name of 'thee'!
Who is 'thee'? I cannot see,
But is somewhere near you must agree!
I can feel thy presence each and every day,
Let's hope that we'll meet one day.
Knowing well that our chances of confrontation,
Vary inversely with this gigantic population.
Till then we have promises to keep,
Loads to smile and a few reasons to weep.
Waiting for the day we are destined to meet,
Hidden secrets to share and wishes to greet.
I hope 'you' are there, this is what I feel,
That there is one thing I cannot conceal.
It is 'thee' who has made me 'FREE'!
It is 'thee' who has made me 'ME'!!
